annie is very fascinated with bugs. it's really interesting and fun for me to watch because she really has no fear at this point and i love that. i'm sure the day will come where she - like her mommy - cowers at the sight of a spider, but right now she thinks they're all really awesome. the other day at the pool a wasp had landed in the water and it was dead, yes, but annie just picks it up and goes "mommy look!" and all i could think was, how did you not get stung? because, i'm pretty sure a wasp's stinger can still get you even if it's dead. you can't see it very well in this picture, but right where addison's right thumb is, there is a walking stick bug on our window. she was so enthralled with the whole idea - it was really neat to watch her little brain absorb it all.
