It Happens to Other People, Too

if you want to get an idea of what a typical day is like with annie - please follow this link and see for yourself. it's this other blog i read, and i've alluded to it's content many times before, but quite often the things she writes about her 3 year-old daughter ring very true to our life. the entry i linked to above is spot on with the whole "new house" thing. annie phrases things a bit differently, but we'll be sitting here at home and she'll say "i want to go home" - over and over again like she is dorothy-freaking-gale or something. it's peculiar, kind of like when i painted her room blue and suddenly she said "my room not noisy anymore"...because prior to the painting she couldn't fall asleep at night because it was "too noisy". maybe we have a ghost, i don't know. maybe this house is built on an ancient indian burial ground or something. i'd prefer to just chalk it up to grammatical confusion. misconjugated verbs. cranky toddler syndrome.

and for the record - now that the room is all cute and blue (pictures will come soon) - she still can't go to sleep. why? "i don't like my room".

great.
